ABOUT ME

I live in Edinburgh and come from an Artistic family. My Grandmother was an Artist and my Father was an Art Dealer. I was greatly inspired by the art work around me and especially influenced by Scottish Artists such as Annie French, Phoebe Traquair and Jessie M. King. Their jewel colours, decorative style and gold detail inspire my work.

I paint mainly in acrylic on board, often creating texture with a palette knife. My work compromises mainly of paintings and silk screen prints. The subject matter is varied. Possessions, house interiors, wallpaper, fabrics and the Scottish landscape all influence my paintings. The continuing theme of my work is the home, family and possessions; portraying memories of people and places through their belongings.
